D Cup and Up
Being a natural big boobed girl might seem like a dream but in reality it has caused much frustrations throughout my life (and any fellow big booby girl would share this pain and know exactly what I am talking about). Unfortunately when growing up as a young woman there was such a lack of bras for girls who were fuller busted. They were usually stocked at a big chain store with only one or two styles on offer. Not really inspiring to say the least! Fondly (or not so fondly) I’d call the horrendous brassiere the “grandma bra” as it clearly was not meant for a 20 something girl. They were always thick through the middle and back and this meant inhibiting the wearer to be able to wear a low cut top. (and we all no I’m a fan of wearing a low cut top!)
My life changed miraculously after I discovered Brava Lingerie Stores around 12 years ago (this is no exaggeration). Brava was specifically created from a great need to provide beautiful, supportive and comfortable lingerie for fuller busted women D cup and up…..Halleluiah is all I can say. I have never looked back.
It is clear that the girls from Brava are so passionate about making women feel fabulous, uplifted and proud of their bodies. My personal experience has just been that. The staff are so lovely and knowledgeable. Every time I have been professionally fitted so I always come home a happy customer with a perfectly fitted bra. Customer service is off the charts! They have also always been able to source the perfect bra for me for every occasion (as you know I’m a bit of a fan to heading off to an event or two.) Yes they even found me THE DREAM strapless bra (which I will highlight later). I never imagined in my wildest dreams I could wear a strapless dress!!!!
My favourite and ultimate go to bra is the Chantelle Chic Sexy bra (see pictured below). I have two in black and one in skin colour. Unfortunately, the brand Chantelle is discontinuing this style which completely baffles me as seems to be a number one fave for a lot of fuller busted women. (Bring on the water works) But the good news is Brava has recently brought in a huge shipment of the sexy plunge. Yipee!!!! Definitely get your hands on this one if you need a well-supported plunge bra. I give this bra a 5 star rating! Pure perfection.
My new favourite style I discovered recently in store is “The Freya Fancies plunge bra” which I purchased in a gorgeous aqua for a bit fun. (see pictured below) The little matching hipster shorts are uber cute too if you love a matching set. What I love particularly about this bra is the plunge front and low back allowing you the option to wear a low-cut top or low back garment. So versatile and comfortable plus girly and cute too.
The miracle strapless bra I discovered a few years back from Brava (see below worn under a strapless dress), came about when I had an event where I was dying to actually try to get away with a strapless number. The girls put me on to the “Le Mystere Sensualle Bustier”. This has been an absolute game changer for me allowing me to wear strapless and asymeticial off the shoulder pieces and still being supported. Seriously no slipping down which is usually the normal drama for a fuller busted woman and I think this is due to it being a bustier with boning. Seriously life changing!
Thank goodness for the sheer geniuses behind Brava and noticing a major gap in the lingerie market. I will forever be a committed fan.
Brava lingerie has 5 stores in Melbourne and Sydney (Hampton, Victoria is where I shop) and also conveniently set up online. Brava also specialises in swimwear, sportswear, maternity as well as bridal.
